Job Summary
A Food Runner needs to maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas. Must possess physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours. It is the Food Runner's job to ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold, adhere to timing standards for products and services and serve the guests in an accommodating manner. The ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold.
- Adhere to timing standards for products and services.
- Serve the guests in an accommodating manner.
- Pre bus tables, maintain table cleanliness, bus tables.
- Look for ways to avoid waste and limit costs.
- Assist in keeping the restaurant clean and safe.
- Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed.
- Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure guests feel important and welcome in the restaurant.
Qualifications
- Work experience as a Food Runner or other entry-level role in a restaurant is a plus.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
- Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $10.00 per hour
